Today, one of the hallmarks of the True Jesus Church is our prayer in the Holy Spirit. Indeed, one of our church’s Ten Articles of Faith describes the Holy Spirit. The fifth article reads:
“Receiving the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues, is the guarantee of our inheritance of the kingdom of heaven.”

What is Doctrine Part I - Definition of the Doctrine
The doctrines were also the common faith (the same faith) throughout the church as well. We can see this in the criteria mentioned for an overseer: they needed to hold firmly to the faithful word (the doctrines) and defend it. This tells us that the understanding of the word of God was the same throughout the apostolic church, and this same understanding was defined by the doctrines they had received.
